CALENDAR TROUBLESHOOTING

GoHighLevel calendar showing no available slots? Check these six layers.

An empty calendar widget can be caused by ownership, availability, date range, timezone, conflicts or the wrong calendar being embedded. Test each layer separately.

Start with a controlled observation

Open the public booking link in a private browser window and record the calendar name, location, timezone, date range and the first day you expect to be available. This gives you a reproducible symptom instead of “the calendar looks empty.”

1. Calendar status and ownership

Confirm the calendar is active and has an eligible team member or owner. A personal or round-robin calendar without an available owner cannot produce useful slots even when its visible settings look complete.

2. Weekly availability and date-specific overrides

Check the assigned user’s weekly hours, then inspect date-specific hours and blocked dates. An override can remove availability that appears valid in the repeating schedule.

3. Minimum notice, date range and buffers

Minimum scheduling notice can hide today or tomorrow. A narrow booking window can hide later dates. Pre- and post-appointment buffers can remove otherwise open gaps. Test a date comfortably inside all three constraints.

4. Timezone interpretation

Compare the calendar timezone, location timezone, assigned user timezone and the timezone shown to the visitor. Record times in an unambiguous format. A timezone mismatch often looks like missing availability when slots have actually shifted to another day.

5. Conflict calendars and existing events

Review every connected conflict calendar for the assigned user. All-day events, recurring holds and external busy blocks can suppress slots. Do not delete real events to test; use a future controlled window or temporarily isolate a test calendar under an agreed procedure.

6. Verify the correct public calendar

Confirm the funnel, website or message links to the calendar you just inspected. Similar names and copied widgets can silently send prospects to an older calendar with different availability rules.

What counts as a pass?

A slot is visible through the prospect-facing path, a controlled appointment can be created on the intended calendar, and the returned appointment identity and status can be verified.
